Episode 6: Mod Zero

Meet Luke Yost, a Penn State junior studying material science and engineering. He is the founder of Mod Zero, a student startup with the technology to swap scopes between rifles without losing zero. Mod Zero is one of the five finalist teams in the Ag Springboard pitch competition.

Episode 5: Green Towers

Meet Dustin Betz (left) and Jared Yarnall-Schane (right), 2012 Ag Springboard winners. Dustin graduated from Penn State in 2014 with a degree in plant biology. Jared graduated in 2015 with a degree in mechanical engineering. They won the pitch competition with their vertical farming business pitch, called Green Towers.

Episode 4: The Warchest Project

Meet Nathan Pearlman, a Penn State junior majoring in food science who has entered Ag Springboard with the Warchest Project. He and his business partner, Sami Beining (junior — biorenewable systems), came up with the idea to repurpose military ammo cans as tailgating essentials, and now hope to win Ag Springboard with their idea to receive $7,500 worth of funding to make it happen.
